Hello there, yes, I’m home, I’m back, everything went…TERIFIC!
Let’s just jump right into this lovely mess!
So, last week I went to a Writers Conference in Tennessee with my two brothers (Benjamin and Justin) and my mother!
The four young ladies (no older than 17) who organized it were Samantha Hopper, Abigail Winters, Abi Massey, and Kira Rosengren, some Fantastic hard-working girls!
(here’s the schedule of what happened if you’re interested)
The Conference was in Carson Springs Tennessee!

The first day we all moved into our rooms, and we had some Brainstorming time with people on our stories, and then a session with Chuck Black (who is not related to us! 😀 ) and then a Q and A too! That was super neat, he had a lot of cool things to say, and the questions asked/answered were also awesome!

After that we got to meet people (from YDubs) and just have fun.
The next day Juliet Artman spoke, she had a lot of great things to say about comparison and not being jealous of other people’s writing.

Then we had Group Sprints, Lunch, and then we had ROLE PLAYING!
Now if you didn’t go to the Conference your probably like “Roleplaying? In person? Huh?” But what we did was dress up as our own characters from our books and interact with someone else as they’re character. It was so fun!

Then Kellyn Roth spoke, she talked about outlining your books, and different ways to do it, and why it’s important, that was super cool. She wrote the book The Dressmaker’s Secret, along with Ivy Introspective, Becoming Miss Knight, Beyond her Calling, and many more!

Then after Dinner (a while after) Marita Wilson (a beautiful and sweet real-life Tinker Belle) taught us all (100+ people) the Ceili dance, (pronounced Kay-lee) a Celtic dance. Since I have already learned Irish dancing, this was super fun, and I could help teach others! Everyone did great, and everyone was engaged and super happy, and had so much fun!

I made a lot of good connections during that time.
Then we played Duck-Duck-Goose, and that was fun.
Next day Jenna Terese spoke and took questions, she did a PHENOMENAL job, especially because this was her first time speaking in front of people like that. She wrote the book Ignite, go check it out if you haven’t already, it’s very neat!

We had lunch, then we had critiquing groups, then Josiah DeGraaf spoke and took questions, he did a great job!
Then we had a Virtual Q&A with Christopher Paolini via, that was (not my favorite part) not bad.
Then Charis Rae spoke and took questions, she talked about habits for writing, and how to do that, and different ways to do that. (She did so good, like— she just did awesome!)

Then we had smores outside, played capture the flag, and stayed up late with several people talking and playing Yes-Sir-Me-Sir.
Next day Josiah DeGraaf talked again, and he had a lot of good things to cover.
After that Julianne Post played Glory Days a song she wrote for the Conference.
After that we (all the people who could stay longer) just played games, arm-wrestling matches, danced, and spent time together.
That was such a quick overview, but it made a huge impression in my life, I made so many good friends.
I praise God we made it, it was so amazing!

I could share on, but I think this covers basically everything.
God really makes a way where there seems no way, this was a forever life changer, and so were all who went!
May you have an effective and special week!
Glory to God,
~Aletheianna~
Sounds like you had an awesome time!!!! Wish I could have gone, but I guess not this year. Great post! 🙂
